Life in the Triangle
As Dorothy stood near the edge of a hill looking down on the city, she shut her eyes tightly. When she opened her eyes, Dorothy saw only darkness below her.

A ribbon of cars swept down the freeway, streaming their beam of glittering lights. Most houses remained well-lit, the people inside perhaps watching television. Taller buildings displayed dimmed lights inside and colorful patterns on the outside walls, advertisements for civilization.
When she opened her eyes, Dorothy saw only darkness below her.
